  1. I love pencils … and pencil crayons … for writing … and tutoring (can’t imagine math without pencils, right?)! What I don’t love is how fast modern plastic pencils go dull, and how easily they break the tips of pencils. So I recently bought an old-fashioned metal pencil sharpener (X-Acto brand, if you’re wondering) … and screwed it onto my desktop (I’ll never lose it like those plastic ones—yay!) for about the same price as maybe 4 or 5 of those nasty plastics that need replacing every 3 or 4 months! It’s wonderful! (Not to mention that in the reviews, people mentioned they’ve used them for 10 years plus and still growing strong! What a deal!).

    1. I love it! When I wrote with pencils they HAD to be sharp. I had one of those exact sharpeners~~same as elementary school! I
      Now I’m wondering where mine is. Hmmm 🤔lol. Thanks Norma.

  2. Thanks so much for the share, Faye! I too LOVE the sound of pencil on paper, particularly wood ones. But for sharpness (and economy), I’ve also been acquiring a couple mechanical pencils. Doesn’t sound as good though.
