n the literary world there seems to be a divided acceptance and usage of speech tags. To me, they're sometimes necessary but overall they're over used and redundant.
A writer wants that elusive million dollar contract and best selling book. Straight to the top of the food chain and wants it NOW... not later... but you won't get it by trying to take the easy route. It's hard work.
As writers it’s up to us to ensure the narrative of our works, keep the reader turning the page. The best way to do that is to use active verbs to paint a picture, often with just one word.
